Chapel-goer slips on leaf and sues St. Athanasios Greek church

After slipping and falling down on a leaf in the foyer of the entrance as she left St Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Springvale, 70-year-old Penelope Liakopolous is suing her place of worship.

She filed a claim with the County Court stating that “there was wet leaf on the floor of the foyer of the premises, near the entrance” causing her to slip and fracture her right wrist.

She is suing for the financial costs of her past and future medical bills related to her broken wrist and ligament damage the fall caused.
