The farmers’ national blocks committee announced on Friday it will hold a protest rally in central Athens next Tuesday (Feb. 14), after a meeting with ministers earlier in the day failed to satisfy their demands.
Farmers also decided to boost their presence in existing road blocks.
“We are fighting tooth and nail to keep our farmland and livestock, to produce sufficient, cheap and quality products for the basic needs of our people,” the committee said in a statement.
