A part of the Greek National Guard of the 4th Army Corps in Thrace, Northern-Eastern Greece, demonstrated their readiness in a training exercise a few days ago. Shots were fired from the M-40 106mm Recoilless Rifle as well as the 23mm ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon.
Old but effective, they are both used against light armored targets, personnel and in anti-landing roles as well. Since they are available in large numbers, they are literarily found in every potential theater of operations, on islands and on the land borders too.
