Police are set to increase security measures over Easter weekend, the Justice Minsiter Ioans Nicolaou said in an announcement on Thursday.
Security measures will be increased on the roads and in churches the minister said.
The Minister also called on the public to follow correct driving etiquette and directions of authorities during the holiday.
“Let us not allow moments of familial and personal happiness be lost on the roads, due to recklessness and thoughtless behaviour,” the announcement said.
