An explosion has caused extensive damage to a kebab shop in Limassol, police reported on Friday.
According to an announcement, the explosion occurred at approximately 1:40am on Friday morning at the shop on Makarios avenue in Limassol.
Police arrived at the scene to conduct investigations, where they determined that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive, which was placed inside the structure.
Extensive damage was caused to the shop, while the glass windows of the neighbouring store were also damaged.
Limassol police are continuing their investigations.
