Ongoing investigations after bomb explosion in central Athens

The Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the Hellenic Police is collecting evidence, witness statements and visual material from cameras that might facilitate the investigations into the bomb explosion in downtown Athens.

On Wednesday night, at 22:40, a bomb exploded at EUROBANK’s Human Resources headquarters, at Santaroza Street. The explosive device was in a bag left outside the building entrance, while a news website had received an anonymous phone call warning off the explosion time and spot. No organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
