Starting from northwestern Greece, a bad weather phenomenon called “Medusa” has spread almost in the entire country, with a forecast of improvement after Tuesday evening.
Ptolemaida and Larissa flooded due to rainstorms and suffered power outages. Thick hail fell in Metsovo and Aitoloakarnania, which also caused traffic to stop for a while on Patras-Pyrgos national road. In the meantime, fires broke out in several areas in Achaia due to thunders, however they were quickly put out thanks to heavy rain.
According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), improvement is expected on Tuesday and summer weather will return again on Wednesday.
