Daily Mail: British tourist wins €34,000 in damages from Greek hotel in Santorini

A grandmother who was accused of being ‘staggeringly drunk’ when she fell down a flight of stairs at a Greek hotel has won a 34,000-euro legal battle daily mail.co reports in the following article:

Carole Peters, 60, suffered head wounds and fractured her arm when she tripped while walking down a staircase at Hotel Iliada in Perivolos, Santorini.

The hotel argued the pensioner, from Torbay in Devon, was a ‘party animal’ who wore ‘silly shoes’ that caused the fall.

However, a judge at Central London County Court rejected the ‘aggressive’ claims and ordered tour operator TUI to award her 34,000 euros in damages.
