Doctors and nurses in Attica to hold work stoppage on Wednesday

Doctors and registered nurses will hold a work stoppage in Attica Region from 08:00-13:00 and a 24-hour strike in the rest of the country on Wednesday, protesting against a public sector staff evaluation, their unions announced on Tuesday.

 The Panhellenic Federation of Employees at Public Hospitals (POEDIN) is planning a rally outside the children’s hospitals (Pedon) at 08:00 and a protest march to the Greek ministry of health. Demonstrators will make stops in front of Maximos Mansion, the parliament, the ministry of finance and the General Accounting Office. 

The Union of Athens-Piraeus Doctors will also hold a work stoppage from 09:00-15:00 and a rally outside the ministry of health.
