Two beaches in Piraiki coast delivered to the public after cleaning

Greek authorities on Thursday delivered two beaches on the Piraiki coast, which were polluted by the sinking of the oil tanker “Agia Zoni II”, for use by the public. These are on the coast in the municipality of Piraeus, where cleaning to remove spilled oil has been finished.

“An important anti-pollution work has been concluded,” Deputy Shipping Minister Nektarios Santorinios noted and pointed out that Piraeus as a whole was the first area where work was completed in less than a month (8 October).
