A 25-year-old man had spread terror in the Ambelokipi neighborhood of Athens, assaulting women.
The man, who lived himself in Nea Smyrni, drove his car to Ambelokipi, a neighborhood with many cafes and night clubs, after midnight, harassing women.
The sex offender, who is an IT programmer by profession, had a fixation on women who wore leggings or mini skirts and high heels.
As soon as he encountered a woman in such an outfit, he would grab her neck and immobilize her. He would strip the women of their clothes and groped their genitals.
The man was identified, thanks to nearby cameras, and was arrested.
At least seven complaints have been filed against him. The young man had not previously concerned authorities but he is now being charged with rape.
