ATHENS – Yet another anarchist group in Greece has struck, causing severe damage to a number of stores of the Market In chain it blamed for firing a worker as anti-establishment groups step up assaults at a number of targets.
Seven stores of the company suffered damage from rocks, iron bars and other instruments in the early morning hours of Christmas, Kathimerini said.
A group named “Anarchists’ Convention for Social and Class Counterattack” claimed responsibility for the attacks, with the newspaper saying the workers firing was the cause, according to sources it didn’t name.
That an attack using paint at the chain’s store at Kordelio near Thessaloniki on Dec. 23 and a similar attack in Patra on Dec. 20.
