Greek coffee companies have announced the founding of a Greek Coffee Association that aims to participate in the expression of positions, consultation and the implementation of a regulatory framework for the coffee sector in Greece and Europe, ANA reports.
The Association aims to promote the sector’s position on institutional and other issues, such as taxes and duties, combating smuggling and illegal trade, food safety, labeling and environment management issues.
The founding members of the Association are: ABEK Vekrakos SA, Attica Terra Food and Drinks AEBE, Giagkoglou Coffee, Papahatzis OE, Cafetex ABEE, Coca Cola HBC Greece, Global Coffee Company Hellas IKE, I.Pafilis & Co, I.Taloumis and Co, Jacobs Douwe Egberts GR Ltd, Jacobs Douwe Egberts Trading Coffee GR Ltd, Kawacom Hellas SA, Nestle Hellas SA, Stathis G. Koukos and Co Ltd, Unistar Ltd, Syncafe ABEE.
