The unseasonably good weather in Greece is expected to spoil on Saturday when, meteorologists say, heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service (EMY), the bad weather will initially affect the Ionian islands and the western Peloponnese before spreading across the rest of the Peloponnese and the country’s mainland, including Attica, and to the Cycladic islands and Crete in the afternoon.
On Sunday, the rain and storms will move to eastern Thessaly, the Sporades islands, Evia as well as the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.
There will be some snowfall in mountainous parts of the country, getting heavier on Sunday evening, EMY noted.
