Prince Charles boarded the historic Greek warship Averof, now serving as a floating museum at Piraeus port, south of Athens, on the second day of his historic visit to Greece.
Accompanied by Greece’s Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, he watched an aerobatic display by the famous Red Arrows team who are currently in Greece for training.
The display was dedicated to the Greek pilot Giorgos Baltadoros who was killed in the Aegean Sea in April when his plane crashed near the island of Skyros.
Earlier, Charles visited the Royal Navy ship HMS Echo at Piraeus Harbour where he was welcomed by Commander Andrew Norgate.
During his tour, he was briefed on HMS Echo’s work with European Union naval forces and given a tour of the ship, meeting members of the crew and seeing the deck laid out for migrant rescue missions.
