Bank of Greece to donate 5 million euros for relief of fire victims

The Bank of Greece board, which was convened for a special emergency meeting on Thursday by bank governor Yannis Stournaras in response to the disastrous Attica fires, has decided to contribute 5.0 million euros for the relief of fire victims, ANA reports.

Expressing deep sorrow for the victims and great economic and environmental disaster caused by the fires, the board members announced the sum will be deposited into the special account created by the finance ministry at the Bank of Greece (ΙΒΑΝ: GR4601000230000002341195169) to support the people affected by the fires that broke out throughout Greece on July 23-24 2018.
