Australian firemen voiced their grief for the fire victims in East Attica and showed their support to fellow firefighters in Greece.
“We are thinking of everyone being affected by the fires in Greece. Big respects to our brother and sister firefighters doing their best to save and protect those in need,” the Newtown, New South Wales firemen noted on Twitter.
They also put a sign in the entrance of their fire station saying, “Our hearts and our prayers go to Greece” in the Greek language with latin characters.
