‘Action for Athens’ draws generous response from Melbourne community

A special evening of music in Melbourne has helped raise money for those affected by Greece’s deadly July fires.

Melbourne’s Greek Center was the venue for ABC Radio’s live benefit broadcast organized by The Friday Revue’s Richelle Hunt and Brian Nankervis.

With funds going to the Australian Red Cross, the Action for Athens concert featured performances by The Philhellenes, Tim Rogers, Ayleen O, Jessie Lloyd, La Voce Della Luna – Melbourne’s Own Italian Women’s Choir, Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier, and poets Pi O and Komninos.

Donations are still possible by going online to redcross.org.au/greece
