High court greenlights extended Sunday store opening in Greece

A majority of Council of State (CoS) justices this week approved extended opening hours for stores on Sunday is constitutional, specifically ruling on a 2017 law that expanded the areas where the voluntary opening of shops is allowed, naftemporiki.gr reports.

The CoS decision noted the liberalization was gradual and not all-encompassing, and mainly focuses on areas with high tourism activity.
