The condition with the wildfire on Evia was better on Friday and the firefighting aircraft started operating with the first light of the day, ANA reports.
The Fire Bridage announced that currently there is no active front but 6 firefighting aircraft and three water dousing helicopters along with a strong force of firefighters are on the spot to prevent rekindlings or new fire fronts.
Furthermore, the residents of the four villages that were evacuated, have returned to their homes.
