Public transport strikes and work stoppages in Greece on Tuesday

Athens buses, trolleys and metro line 1 (Piraeus to Kifissia) will come to a complete halt on Tuesday, due to 24-hour strikes declared by their labor unions against the government’s draft omnibus development bill, ANA reports.

However, Metro trains will be running between 9:00 and 21:00 and the tram will operate between 8:00 and 22:00.

Train users can expect to face further inconvenience on Thursday when the country’s rail workers go on strike, including the Proastiakos suburban railway line serving the Athens International Airport.
