Greece, Cyprus and Bulgaria submit joint proposal on migration crisis

Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria submitted a joint proposal to tackle the migration crisis at the EU interior ministers’ meeting in Luxembourg on Tuesday, int.ert.gr reports.

The core of the proposal is the sharing of responsibility via a European relocation mechanism.

The situation in the eastern Mediterranean is worrying, European Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos noted at a press conference at the Home Affairs Council, adding that the EU continues to support Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria in business, as well as financially and politically.
