The Melbourne-based restaurant ”Stalactites” announced recently that the revenues generated by its limited-edition ”Tsitsipas Souvlaki” dish will be donated to the victims of Australia’s devastating bushfires, according to greekreporter.com.
This particular Greek wrap sandwich is named after the country’s young tennis champion, Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The dish, which was initially created last year, will be on the menu once again at Australia’s famous restaurant, and whoever buys it will be helping efforts to ease the pain of the thousands of people affected by the tragic Australian calamity which has shaken the entire world.
The restaurant’s owners reached out to Tsitsipas and discussed the details of this nice gesture in support of the fire victims.
After the famous Greek tennis star gave the green light to this charitable action, the restaurant decided to relaunch their signature dish, and they now hope to raise thousands of dollars to assist all those affected by the bushfires.
Last year, when Stalactites offered this delicacy for the first time, they managed to earn over 16,000 Australian dollars in a very short period of time, which was no mean feat.
This time, they hope that they will be able to match or even surpass this figure, since it is for such a worthy cause.
