Israeli Embassy in Greece closed due to reported employee COVID-19 case

A case of coronavirus was detected at the Israeli embassy in Athens after an official with her family reportedly travelled to the Holy Lands, according to a report by the Times Of Israel newspaper citing a statement by the country’s foreign ministry, protothema.gr reports.

According to media, the Israeli embassy in Athens will remain closed today, Monday, March 9, for disinfection, while authorities in Greece and Israel will be in close contact on the issue.

The Ministry of Education has announced that the Israeli Community Kindergarten and Primary School will also remain closed from today until March 23.
