Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis asserted on Friday that students would not miss an academic year because of coronavirus shutdowns, at statements during a test run of new digital platforms at the Education & Religion Ministry.
During the presentation, Mitsotakis spoke to students and teachers and quelled fears that the nation-wide high school exams leading to university admittance (“Panellinies”) would be canceled or extremely delayed. “Your efforts will not be lost, you will not miss an academic year, and you must continue, adapting as we all do to these special challenges,” the premier said, speaking of the supportive role of technology.
