AP: Greek authorities send out mobile units to carry out COVID-19 tests

After being widely praised for bringing a quick lockdown to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Greece’s New Democracy has sent out 500 mobile units to take samples and tests of people after doctors and health works complained it hadn’t been done and that there was a lack of equipment for them.

The units will visit homes where there are suspected cases of infection, under the guidance of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said Kathimerini, as the Health Ministry said two more deaths brought the total to 81 as of April 7.
