The National Organization of Public Health (EODY) issued a press release on Wednesday afternoon, announcing 55 new coronavirus cases in our country, most of which (43) are located in the area of Xanthi, int.ert.gr reports.
The total number of confirmed cases is now 3,203. Of which, 698 (21.8%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad while 1,796 (56.1%) are related to an already known case.
According to EODY, two people died of the coronavirus during the last 24 hours, thus bringing the total number of victims to 187. The average age of the deceased patients was 76 years and 95.7% of them had an underlying health issue and / or were aged 70 and over.
11 people whose median age is 69 years old, remain intubated and 72.7% of them have an underlying health condition or are aged 70 and more.
