Τourist flows to the island of Rhodes via Diagoras airport are satisfactory in a difficult year for tourism in Greece, due to the coronavirus, based on figures released by airport operator Fraport on Wednesday, ANA reports.
After the 112,912 tourists that arrived at Diagoras airport in July, when the tourist season opened in Greece, tourist traffic posted a substantial 69 percent rise in August in comparison with July 2020.
Τhe figures are exclusively for arrivals from abroad at the specific airport from 1-31 August, nevertheless, the total number of visitors to the island should also take account of passengers arriving on domestic flights via the Athens international airport Eleftherios Venizelos and tourists using ferries routes.
