Hellenic Pasteur Institute denies reports of lockdown or insufficient reagent kits

The Hellenic Pasteur Institute of biomedical research on Saturday said that reports claiming a temporary lockdown at the institute or that the institute’s reagent kits do not suffice to test coronavirus samples are inaccurate and misleading, ANA reports.

“The Hellenic Pasteur Institute never locked down. On the contrary, it takes in about 1,000 samples every day and performs a direct laboratory test. In fact, it publishes results on the same day for samples it receives until 3:00 pm,” it stressed.

The institute noted that most of these samples come from its collaboration with the Greek State, while its board meeting on September 3 “confirmed its intention, following the instructions of the Ministry of Health and within its capabilities, to set contracts with public hospitals.”
