Greece’s National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced 2,166 new coronavirus infections in the country, of which, 22 are related to known clusters and 40 were detected following checks at the country’s gateways, int.ert.gr reports.
The total number of cases now is 44,246.
One hundred and sixty-nine (169) people whose median age is 65 years remain intubated and 89.3% of them have an underlying health issue or are aged 70 years and more. Three hundred (300) patients have been discharged from the ICUs.
Thirteen (13) more people whose median age was 79 years have died, thus bringing the total number of victims in the country to 655. 96.3% of them had an underlying health issue and/or age 70 years and more.
