Greek government: No need to extend lockdown if we are all consistent

“The problem is not the epidemiological burden in the schools. All the experts say that the transmission in schools is not a problem but the problem is the mobilization of the adults, namely the parents and the grandparents “, government spokesman Stelios Petsas said in an interview with ANT1 on Saturday, according to ANA.

He also said that next week will be difficult with two contradictory characteristics as on one hand there will be high pressure to the Health System due to last days’ increased number of incidents and on the other hand, there will be a reduction of the infections due to the lockdown. “If we are all consistent there will be no need to extend the lockdown or any other restriction,” he said adding that the government’s aim is to have a strict observation of the measures in the next 7-10 days in order to lift the lockdown on time and not to extend it”.
