Minister explains how vaccination appointments will be booked in Greece

Greek Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis provided some initial information about getting inoculated with the upcoming coronavirus vaccine, speaking on MEGA TV on Saturday, ANA reports.

The online platform emvolio.gov.gr will be at the center of the government’s information campaign, as will the paperless electronic prescription system, he said.

Authorities will automatically book the first two vaccination appointments for citizens -as the vaccine is administered in two doses- the dates of which can then be changed, and the location of the vaccination center can be modified, if a person resides at a different address to what is stored in state systems. All this will be performed online, but alternative methods will be set up for anyone who has no access to the internet or does not possess any digital skills.
