Greek COVID-related deaths surpass 4,000 since beginning of the pandemic

Αssociated Press reports from Athens that Greece registered another 916 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, with 8 of these identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Friday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Greece has registered 129,584 cases of which 5,178 are linked to travel abroad and 37,630 to already known cases.

EODY also recorded another 96 deaths, raising the number of deaths to 4,044 in total. Of the total, their median age was 79 years and 95.6 pct had an underlying condition and/or were 70 years old or older, while 1,631 were women.
