Arrests over violent incident at Thessaloniki shelter for unaccompanied minors in Greece

A 38-year-old man and his 14-year-old son have been arrested after they were identified as participants in an incident at a shelter for unaccompanied minors in Oreokastro, the Thessaloniki police force announced on Monday, ANA reports.

Also arrested was a 15-year-old living at the shelter after the 38-year-old pressed charges against him.
According to the police, the arrests were made following reports of racist violence at the Oreokastro reception facility on Saturday, when roughly 12 unidentified individuals gathered outside, while five entered the forecourt and engaged in a confrontation with five of the minors there, during which four of them sustained minor injuries.
