Three consecutive weather fronts are expected to affect Greece as of Saturday until next Wednesday, the National Observatory of Athens’ meteo.gr said on Saturday, according to ANA.
The first weather front will make itself apparent on Saturday across western Greece, with heavy local rains, storms, and snowfall on mountainous regions. These phenomena will spread on Saturday evening over the central and northern Aegean, including high winds up to 8 Beaufort.
The second weather front, almost identical to the first, will start to spread to the rest of the country on Sunday evening until Monday afternoon.
Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, a substantial drop in temperatures will see snowfall even at low altitude areas in northern Greece.
