The UK variant of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) is the most common one in Greece so far, the National Network of Genome Supervision said on Thursday, according to ANA.
DNA analysis carried out on a total of 8,815 selected coronavirus samples collected in Greece between February 26 and April 10, 2021, showed the three most common variants are the following:
1. UK lineage Variant VOC_202012 (64.22 pct)
2. Variant_E484K (4.65 pct)
3. South Africa lineage Variant 501.V2 (0.74 pct)
