The Region of Attica is working with the Beyond center at the National Observatory of Athens to identify high-risk areas for flooding following devastating fires in the region and elsewhere in August, ANA reports.
The full mapping of the needs will be concluded within September, Observatory head of research Haris Kontoes said during a meeting at the regional administration’s offices with Attica director Giorgos Patoulis. They also agreed to activate collaborating Beyond volunteer networks to hold prevention and training actions.
