Shops will be open from 10:00 in the morning until 21:00 in the evening from Monday, November 22, with the aim of avoiding congestion and to tie in with the introduction of staggered working hours in the public and private sector, the development ministry Secretary-General for Commerce Sotiris Anagnostopoulos announced on Friday, ANA reports.
As Anagnostopoulos said, retail stores will be open from 10:00 until 21:00 throughout the week and those that are open for both vaccinated and unvaccinated customers, namely, pharmacies, supermarkets, and food shops, must also observe space restrictions that allows just one customer per 9 sqm to enter at any given time.
Asked what will apply in the case that the owner or the employees of a retail or entertainment business are unvaccinated, Anagnostopoulos stressed that they are obliged to pay for a laboratory test for Covid while the use of a mask will be mandatory at all times and everyone in a business, including employees, will be subject to inspections in order to enter.
