Diaspora Greeks now able to e-register family changes through consulates

Major life events such as births, marriages, and deaths of Greeks living abroad can now be e-entered by consulates directly onto Greece’s “Citizens Database”, cutting through red-tape processes that up to now took months to complete, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Digital Governance announced on Thursday, ANA reports.

The system has been accessible since January 1, 2022, to consular staff abroad who will enter the events taking place abroad, a joint ministry statement said.
