Greece has jumped to 58th place in the new World Happiness Report 2022, which evaluates the period 2019-2021, up from 77th place in the 2020 report that covered the period 2017-2019, ANA reports.
The report was released on Friday, ahead of the International Day of Happiness on March 20, and marked the 10th anniversary since the index, which provides an assessment of how people in each country rate their life and their level of satisfaction with it, was first launched.
Greece scored 5,948 points, while the top scorer with 7,821 was Finland for the fifth consecutive year. Also in the top 10 were Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Israel, and New Zealand.
Germany ranked 14th, the United States 16th, Britain 17th, and France was 20th.
