Greece confirmed 44,775 new SARS-CoV-2 cases in the week of September 19-25, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said in its weekly statistics report on Tuesday, ANA reports.
This is equivalent to 4,292 coronavirus cases per 1 mln people (weekly change: 24%), with 26% of the new weekly infections being reinfections. All confirmed infections since the pandemic started are 4,920,192.
During the week of September 19-25, there were also 97 deaths from Covid-19, or 9 deaths per 1 mln people (weekly change: -16%), bringing the total of pandemic victims since the pandemic began to 33,111.
