Quake near Greek island of Rhodes had a magnitude of 5.9 Richter

The Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, on behalf of the four agencies making up the Unified National Seismological Network, announced on Wednesday that an earthquake recorded in the sea off the coast of Rhodes measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, instead of 5.7 as initially announced, ANA reports.
The quake’s epicenter was located 58 km southeast of the town of Lindos, Rhodes, and 498 km east-southeast of Athens.
