The National Meteorological Service on Thursday issued an updated Weather Warning for the next few days, which forecasts the advent of a storm front bringing heavy rain and strong winds in various parts of Greece from Thursday until Saturday, as well as possible hail storms, ANA reports.
Strong rain and storms are forecast until Thursday afternoon in the north and eastern Aegean, intermittently affecting the Cyclades islands and Crete, while from Thursday night they will reach the eastern parts of Thessaly, the Sporades island group, central and eastern Central Greece, and Evia.
Strong rain and storms are forecast in Crete on Friday, with the phenomena abating on Saturday morning, in the early morning hours in Thessaly and central and eastern Central Greece, and by the afternoon in Evia, the Sporades islands, eastern and southern Peloponnese, and by the evening on the Cyclades islands and the Dodecanese islands.
