Fall in Covid, flu infections and 16 fatalities in Greece on June 26-July 2

New cases of both SARS-CoV-2 and influenza (flu) dropped over the week of June 26-July 2, according to the weekly report by the National Public Health Organisation (EODY), published on Thursday, ANA reports.

Hospital admissions for coronavirus (182) also decreased last week, dropping 43% overall compared to the average weekly admissions during the last four weeks. Meanwhile, the number of new intubations (4) in the week of June 26-July 2 dropped slightly compared to the previous week, dropping 50% in comparison to the average of new intubations in the last four weeks.

At present, 24 people are intubated with Covid-19 in Greek hospitals, while another 16 died. The median age of those who died was 84 (age range: 68-94).
