Fire in Greece's Mount Athos monastic community partly under control

A fire that broke out earlier on Saturday at a forested area near the Monastery of the Great Lavra on Mt. Athos has been placed under partial control, the Fire Brigade said, ANA reports.

The fire broke out at 07:00 on Saturday, 5 kilometers north-northwest of the oldest monastery in the peninsula of the all-male monastic community.
