Blaze on the Greek siland of Kefalonia brought under control by firefighters

A wildfire that broke out on the island of Kefalonia the previous day, burning mixed agricultural land and forest in Aghia Irini, was now under control, the fire brigade reported on Monday, ANA reports.
The blaze was put out chiefly with the assistance of firefighting aircraft that took off at dawn and battled the fire in the inaccessible terrain surrounding Aghia Irini.
