Expert committee organizes meeting on spike of Covid-19 cases in recent weeks

A committee of health ministry experts convened on Thursday to discuss the epidemiological situation in Greece, following a rash of Covid-19 cases and hospital admissions seen in the community in recent weeks, ANA reports.
The experts suggested the observance of protection measures, the use of anti-viral medication where necessary, and vaccination against Covid-19.
Regarding the use of face masks in healthcare facilities and whether this will be made mandatory, a member of the committee said that no such proposal or even recommendation will be made. They pointed out that there is an earlier recommendation to hospitals, which can bring back the use of masks depending on the epidemiological situation.
