A rally by farmers and other representatives of the primary sector at the premises of the 30th Agrotica Fair concluded in Thessaloniki on Saturday, ANA reports.
At the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) grounds, farmers gathered from Thessaly and other areas of Greece shortly after noon but did not block the road. In a symbolic gesture, they threw chestnuts and apples on the street and then marched to the TIF grounds, holding banners and shouting slogans. Representatives of the Larissa and Karditsa farmers’ federations said they were determined to escalate their struggle.
