Schools in Athens to stay closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to heatwave

Primary schools in the municipality of Athens will be shut on Wednesday and Thursday, June 12-13, due to the intense heatwave expected in the country, ANA reports.
Earlier, the municipality of Athens announced that due to the increased temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday, all kindergartens in the municipality, as well as the central service (Rodos 181, Sepolia) will be open from 7:00 until 14:00. The flexible working hours will be implemented in accordance with the circular of the Ministry of the Interior on “Measures to protect employees for health reasons – Operation of public services in view of the impending heat wave”.
