With increased foot patrols in the center of Chios, visible policing is being strengthened, as part of the operational planning of the General Regional Police Directorate of the North Aegean for the Easter holiday period.
The patrols will be intensified during the opening hours of commercial stores and are part of a wider network of police actions. The aim is to immediately manage incidents of minor delinquency, prevent illegal actions through targeted checks, as well as supervise the implementation of legislation in critical areas such as road safety, outdoor trade, the sale of fireworks, and the protection of pets.
These actions are expected to be extended to all the islands of the Northeast Aegean throughout the festive season, with the aim of enhancing citizens’ sense of security and preventing delinquency.
